Cover up on a tush. Had to go super dark for this but I think it turned out well, possibly needs another petal on the bottom.
and a colorful bird.. the image was taken directly from her friends artwork
I haven’t been as on top of this blog thing as I have been in the past. The winter is setting in, and with the combination of the holidays, being sick and a slow down in walk-ins because of the cold season there hasn’t been much need to post whats going on in the shop. Hope everyone had a good holiday and you stay busy. Starting a sleeve and lining up some great pieces down the line. But mostly I am waiting for the summer again. Time moves slowly.
Just got this puppy in the mail and gave it a test run on my supple skin. The Workhorse Irons Rotary Machine. Just as a color machine alone it packs really well and stays steady. I had to drop the voltage a lot from what I am usually used to running with my coil machines. It is super light and has a super long throw.
The first day I got it in the mail there was a slight problem with the motor and would lock up after every other pedal press, but the WHI customer support had me send it back to get fixed up, now it works like a charm.
Check it out here for the specs and other pictures, but so far I am very satisfied.
The only other problem I had with the machine the first run is the ink traveling back up the tube while working. I have heard of multiple ways to remedy this though, the one Ill probably be using is just coating the bar with a glob of ointment to deflect the upstream ink flow…. should work but Ill have to see the second try.
